Kelli, its comforting to me that there our some sane people in this most divisive corrupt period of the world. Unfortunately people through the ages have always looked for a reason to be anti-Semitic. I wish you good health in this fight as it can be debilitating. Good will prevail. Thank you Kelli for your support of Israel and your Jewish Heart 💙 Am Yisroel Chai 💙

I read this here on Substack:

“It was never about Palestinians, or Muslims. Far more Muslims have been killed by Assad, by Saddam, in Pakistan and Yemen and China, than have in Israel. And I — like all the Leftists and Muslims in Western streets protesting against Israel — could not care less. They are just an instrument to sanitize our antisemitism with.”

Despite their claims to the contrary, of course they are antisemitic. The Left claim to be against racism of any kind…..whilst being perfectly happy to be antisemitic and therefore racist.

The dog one always gets me, because, of course, I immediately start wondering how exactly they think that works. Who is put in charge of training the dogs to do that? Do they think there is an IDF rape-dog training unit? How would one go about that? Do they have dog fluffers? If Jews are capable of such animal-training feats, why couldn't my Jewish husband train our old dog (may she now rest in peace) not to crap on our carpets? I have so many questions.

Right! 😂 I can barely train my dog to pee outside. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Totally correct. It's all antisemitism. Strip away the cover and "complexity".

My own take, for what it's worth.

I believe it was yesterday that one of the Substacks I subscribe to linked to this eye-opening study by George Washington University on the organizing of Palestinians in the US to derail the Oslo accords and to indoctrinate Americans against Israel in specific and Jews in general. The effort has been going on since the '70s. So the antisemitism rampant now on the left in general was long since planned and meticulously implemented and has been building for 50 years. https://extremism.gwu.edu/sites/g/files/zaxdzs5746/files/2023-10/the-hamas-network-in-america.pdf

That said, you are spot-on that people are simply jumping at the chance to let out the antisemitism they always kept hidden. My parents always told me so and I thought they were just paranoid. It's an intolerable worldview, to think that almost everyone we meet would prefer we were dead, nothing personal, just some people need killing and we're those people. I thought it was a crazy worldview, and then go figure on 10/7, not even 10/8, we find out it was right.

It reminds me of the lyrics to Laurie Anderson's "Love Among the Sailors," which was written (I believe) about the AIDS crisis, but which applies just as well to us:

There is a hot wind blowing

It moves across the oceans and into every port

A plague. A black plague. There's danger everywhere

And you've been sailing

And you're all alone on an island now tuning in

Did you think this was the way

Your world would end?

Hombres. Sailors. Comrades

There is no pure land now. No safe place

And we stand here on the pier

Watching you drown

Love among the sailors

Love among the sailors

There is a hot wind blowing

Plague drifts across the oceans

And if this is the work of an angry god

I want to look into his angry face

There is no pure land now. No safe place

Come with us into the mountains

Hombres. Sailors. Comrades

---------

No wonder Lou Reed loved her.

I am Shocked by so much that has gone on. Starting with COVID. The Monster emerged from within so many people. It seems 70% of people seethe with hate inside. Pleasant on the outside, polite, functional, but filled with rage, fear and hate inside. They will aim it at someone, some group that can’t hurt them. It has just shocked mento my core.

I think that many people are filled with rage and bitterness; I think those emotions are within all of us. The isolation of Covid certainly fanned those flames, but the steady groaning about political correctness crescendoed during Trump's 2015 presidential campaign, and hasn't abated since.

You’re spot on. Not sure what your faith is but I can tell you according to the Bible we are in the last days, the very, VERY last days. Covid brought the stupid out in people and the world hasn’t been the same since. The Bible teaches that all nations will turn against Israel and it breaks my heart to know that includes America. Honestly I see this sort of sudden and very prevalent antisemitism we’re seeing as a spiritual event. It’s so openly displayed everywhere and I can’t help but think about how hypocritical these self righteous liberals are. If this hate were against blacks they would lose their minds and would be marching in protest yapping on their bull horns about how disgusting we are. Yet they chant slogans that call for the genocide of Jews and the theft of their land like it’s nothing. This radical leftism we’re witnessing is a cult of hypocritical self righteousness do-gooders that needs to be eradicated. They should all visit Gaza so they can experience the behavior of rapidly expanding gases from a Mk-84 first hand. That last comment may go over a few people’s heads but it would benefit the world all the same.

I’m merely saying they should stand directly in the path of a 2000 lb bomb and immolate themselves for their cause if they believe in it so much. These people are beyond useful idiots. While I believe only God has the right to hate people we can despise everything about them. The people that defend the Palestinians and call it a genocide are perpetuating a lie. To me at least they are in a way worse than terrorist. To oversimplify my reasoning I’ll just say that the terrorist can for the most part only affect themselves and those around them. These sympathizers can affect the whole nation of Israel by influencing others and causing them to lose support from not just other people but from those that supply arms and intelligence. As I said that’s simplifying it but I think you can get the gist. I’m fiercely loyal to God which makes me fiercely loyal to Israel. I’m appalled at all the “Christians” that are against Israel. Those two things cannot be true at the same time. Maybe I shouldn’t have assumed that every Christian actually read the Bible and knew Israel was his chosen people. Sadly I couldn’t have been more wrong.

"How can Israelis be accused of colonisation" - that's an easy one to answer. The key thing to understand that reasons purportedly given for anti-Zionism are in fact not reasons but rationalisations. In other words these are conveniently plucked to justify positions already held for other reasons while are less acceptable to confess - ie anti-Semitism itself. That's why they don't stand up to real scrutiny.

Just like a husband beating his wife provides a contrived "reason" ie she burned dinner or looked at another man. The true cause was that the husband suffered ego-injury, typically because the wife didn't supplicate herself sufficiently for him...

And here we arrive at the base-most causation for the Arab intransigence over 70 years: their rage I believe comes from the ego injury suffered for having been dominated by a people whom they deem as inferior. These attacks aren't "normal" in any sense of proportion. They carry the same out-of-whack rage that eg lynchings of Black people in Southern USA used to feature - it wasn't enough just to kill a person but it had to be disproportionately cruel to affirm dominance.

I suspect this is actually the base ingredient that underlies anti-Semitism at its root, although I disagree about the Western left's motivation. The key element there is they are perfectly fine with Jews who agree with them... suggesting that Jewishness isn't the key ingredient in the hate-soup.
