So after a year of wondering, engaging and attempting to psychoanalyse, I have finally come to a conclusion. The people that demonise Israel for protecting their own citizens, are plain and simply antisemitic. Nobody with a skerrick of common sense or empathy could possibly think otherwise. Let me explain.
Anyone who has been following me over the past 12 months knows that I have battled with the question of why? Why in the face of overwhelming evidence, and in high-definition, could otherwise ‘normal’ people, suddenly be willing to accept brutal rape, slaughter and kidnapping of innocent civilians as OK. And not only accept it, but be blatantly angry and aggressive towards the victims of the crimes. I struggled with the idea that violent genocidal terror groups, that videoed their own crimes against humanity, could simple deny they did anything wrong, and a ridiculously large amount of people take them at their word.
At first I wondered if it was the sheer horrific nature of the violence that was hard for people to accept. That it was so far outside of their scope of reality, that they had to create a different narrative. That it was easier to deny such atrocities, than believe that fellow human beings could be so barbaric. This in theory would make sense, but then at some point during the year, I witnessed the exact crimes of the terrorists being thrown against the people of Israel. Accusations of the IDF beheading babies, systematic rape of Palestinian women, training dogs to rape prisoners (what a doozy this one was), mass graves that had been Gazans, killed to steal their organs. Initially I started looking into these accusations, wondering if I was missing something. Wondering if there was some deep dark manilla folder of Israeli crimes that the lefty progressives had access to that I had been too blind to see? There wasn’t.
Does that mean that no Arab has ever been raped by an Israeli? No, it doesn’t. You would be hard pressed to find any country or region in the world where rape didn’t occur. But what blew my mind, was that Israel haters would openly gloat over some unsubstantiated Tiktok video where someone had claimed rape by the IDF—whilst blissfully happy to ignore the evidence of systematic rape and sexual violence, on such a scale that that experts say it had to be premeditated—against Israeli women. How can you compare groups of men, raping and mutilating multiple women (and men) in the space of a few hours by Palestinian men against isolated occurrences by Israelis? How can you deny one, but ecstatically believe the other? I’ll tell you how, antisemitism.
Ironically, the accusations of IDF rape only started being weaponised after the evidence of the horrific crimes against Israeli women on October 7 started mounting up. However, we have hundreds of hours of video evidence and witness testimony of rape and sexual violence on October 7. It could hardly be more definitive.
On Substack a few weeks ago, I had someone comment on one of my posts, “IDF intentionally targets women and children. And always have. Its their openly stated policy“. Really, that’s news to me? So I asked for proof. Of course there was none. He instead bombarded by feed with images of blood soaked children.
So what makes a person believe that Israelis are capable of this sort of depravity? That they take pleasure in targeting women and children? When on the other hand we have solid evidence that women and children, including babies, were murdered and abducted on October 7. No evidence on one side—photo, video evidence and prisoner statements on the other. How does that even make sense? Antisemitism, that’s how.
How can Israel be accused of being colonisers, when they have been indigenous to the land for thousands of years, yet Islam has colonised the entire Middle East and North Africa yet nobody blinks an eye. How can Israel be labelled an ‘ethnostate’ when it is the only country in the region that has equal rights for men, women, ethnicities, LBGTQI and religious freedom. In Israel you will see a vast variety of culture and dress, from Burqas to Bikinis and everything in between. Try walking into the Gaza strip with a kippah on, see how far you get. Or try wearing a bikini in Iraq—see how that goes. So why the hypocrisy? Why accuse Israel of the human rights issues that they are the only country in the region to actually uphold. I’ll tell you why, antisemitism.
How can it be impossible for some people to believe that murderous terrorists, who use suicide bombers, hijack planes, stab mothers with babies on the street and behead their enemies and openly call for the eradication of Jews, would not murder in cold-blood six Israelis that they have starved and held hostage in dark airless tunnels for almost a year? The only explanation is that they believe in their hearts, despite zero evidence, that Jews are evil, more evil than the terrorist monstors.
Israel is fighting a war against terror on multiple fronts. From the initial invasion and slaughter on October 7, they have been bombarded with missiles every day since, as well as a slew of individual terrorist attacks. They are fighting a war they didn’t start and did not want. Why then are they the ones urged to use restraint? It’s like the world wants Israel to stop fighting so the terrorists can finish the job.
And here in-lies the truth. Antisemitism runs deep. And the latest conflict has not created Jew haters, but rather allowed them to crawl out from under the rug and say out loud what they have believed in their hearts all along. Nothing else makes sense.
I will leave you with a quote from Visily Grossman. “Anti-Semitism can take many forms, from a mocking contemptuous ill-will to murderous pogroms. It can be met with in the marketplace and in the Academy of Sciences, in the soul of an old man and in the games children play in the yard. Anti-Semitism is always a means rather than an end; it is a measure of the contradictions yet to be resolved. It is a mirror for the failings of individuals, social structures and state systems. Tell me what you accuse the Jews of, I’ll tell you what you are guilty of.”
Kelli, its comforting to me that there our some sane people in this most divisive corrupt period of the world. Unfortunately people through the ages have always looked for a reason to be anti-Semitic. I wish you good health in this fight as it can be debilitating. Good will prevail. Thank you Kelli for your support of Israel and your Jewish Heart 💙 Am Yisroel Chai 💙
I read this here on Substack:
“It was never about Palestinians, or Muslims. Far more Muslims have been killed by Assad, by Saddam, in Pakistan and Yemen and China, than have in Israel. And I — like all the Leftists and Muslims in Western streets protesting against Israel — could not care less. They are just an instrument to sanitize our antisemitism with.”
