It was Valentines Day yesterday. A day for the lovers apparently. Personally I have never received a secret card in the mail, or a note in my school lunchbox. Aussie’s aren’t really known for their public or private displays of affection.
Even dating here in Australia is very different to how it appears to be on other continents. We are not that formal. We tend to either hang out and get to know someone, or we don’t. The whole idea of going on a date feels very, I don’t know, un-Australian.
You see we are a pretty laid back bunch. You are much more likely to get invited to a back yard barbie than out on a date here in Oz. We are so laid back we can barely annunciate our vowels — we couldn’t be bothered. And we shorten everything. And I mean everything. We don’t go to McDonalds, we go to Maccas. We do things in the arvo, not the afternoon. And when picking up a six-pack of beer we go to the Bottlo.
“I love a sunburnt country,
A land of sweeping plains,
Of ragged mountain ranges,
Of drought and flooding rains,
I love her far horizons,
I love her jewel sea,
Her beauty and her terror -
The wide brown land for me. “— I love a sunburnt country (Dorothea MacKellar)
Except we also like to lengthen names with an ‘o’, we would never call someone John — too formal — it would be Johnno, Davo, Nicko, or Jacko. Trust me, if we change your name it is a sign of great affection. Our full names are only ever used if we are in trouble. We laugh easily, we laugh at ourselves, we swear a lot, and we tease the people that we love relentlessly.
I love my country. I love what it means to be Australian. I love the land, the bush, the endless expanse of beaches, the desert, the big cities and the small country towns. I love it all.
But this Valentine’s Day I write with a heart heavy with betrayal. Our laid back nature and culture of tolerance, fairness and giving everybody a go, has come back to bite us.
“An opal-hearted country,
A wilful, lavish land -
All you who have not loved her,
You will not understand -
Though Earth holds many splendours,
Wherever I may die,
I know to what brown Country
My homing thoughts will fly.” — I love a sunburnt country (Dorothea MacKellar)
Yesterday the Australian media blew up when two nurses from Blacktown in New South Wales were interviewed by Jewish influencer Max Veifer, who proudly stated they would and have killed Israeli patients. Ahmad Rashad Nadir and Sarah Abu Lebdeh confidently declared their intent to kill Israelis that came into their care at the hospital.1 Afghan refugee Nadir went a step further, claiming to have already killed many, sending them to Jahannam — Islam’s version of hell.
In an interview with SBS in 2015, Nadir spoke of his good fortune coming to Australia, as “Back in Afghanistan, there was not much opportunity to get an education.”
This, as it should, created a shit-storm here in Australia and around the world. Nadir and Lebdeh have been stood down and it’s very unlikely that they will ever work in health care in Australia again. Nadir’s dreams of becoming a doctor are over. And quite rightly.
You see we don’t take kindly to being taken advantage of here in the land downunder. We will seal a deal with a handshake and a smile, but if you mistake our kindness for weakness, you will soon regret it.
You see we are descendants of miscreants, dreamers and explorers, who came to this land over two hundreds years ago in hope of a better future. It was a hard life, yet our ancestors thrived due to their hard work and tenacity.
We learnt how to live in harmony with some of the most venomous snakes and spiders in the world, the highly poisonous box jellyfish, great white sharks and five meter long crocodiles that will kill you by performing a death roll.
“I'm always travelin'
And I love bein' free
So I keep leavin' the sun and the sea
But my heart lies waiting over the foam
I still call Australia home.” — I still call Australia home (Peter Allen)
We have learned to make peace with the extremities of the landscape, drought, flooding rains, overcoming issues of isolation, farming hot, dry land and an integration of rich indigenous history.
So if you think you can come here and turn our country into a mini Kabul, think again. You may be emboldened at the moment by our pathetic excuse for a left wing government that have failed to protect and stand up for our Jewish community, but trust me when I say, we will rise up.
If you think we will continue to allow refugees into our country who sneer at our culture and values, and threaten the lives of fellow Australians, then you are gravely mistaken.
You may think you are protected, when you see the useless morons standing beside you at your Anti-Jewish protests in their watermelon t-shirts or their cheap ‘made in china’ keffiyehs, but trust me — we may appear laid back, and you may mistake that for apathy, but we also know how to fight. And we will not allow you to infect our multi-cultural utopia with your arrogant, violent, Islamist bullshit.
“And someday we'll all be together once more
When all the ships come back to the shore
Then I realise something I've always known
I still call Australia home.” — I still call Australia home (Peter Allen)
If you pine for the life of the country that you left, the answer is simple, go back there. And don’t you dare play the ‘race’ card. We are one of the most multi-cultural countries in the world, we have integrated the Greeks, Italians, Asians, Indians and more without a hitch.
We are not inherently racist, we are inherently anti-assholes. Embrace our Australian values of freedom, equality, tolerance and mateship, or ‘fuck off’ back to where you came from — you are not welcome here.
Because we are heading towards a reckoning here in Australia, and once the laid back silent majority mobilises — it will be on.

What an amazing piece, my dear friend! I’m so deeply proud of you. What you wrote, right there, just turned the land of Oz into the best place on Earth, after all these time when we thought you guys had entirely lost what made you you. As I say to people often, it’s not the beaches, the mountains or the forests that make a country: it’s its people. Weak leadership has been very bad to us, mistaking our generosity for weakness. It’s time to deport absolutely everyone who came to our countries to abuse our way of life. Every single one of them.
And I look nothing like your men, but I’m already writing you a secret Valentines Day card! 😉
Australia 🇦🇺 has always been a great ally to my country the United States. They fought alongside us with honor and distinction in World War I, World War II and the Vietnam War. Australia is a beautiful country with a diverse population made up of an eclectic array of cultures, delicious food, vibrant wildlife, breathtaking natural scenery, sandy beaches and blue seas, friendly people, and distinctive accents. These two Afghan doctors who said they’d kill Israeli patients and claimed they’d killed Israeli patients before, took advantage of the tolerance and open mindedness of Australian society. Australia is a multicultural nation which is a magnificent thing. But Australian multiculturalism must have its limits. Australia is a nation built on western and liberal values and Anglo-Saxon and Aboriginal culture. There is no place in its borders for Islamism, antisemitism and values that are backwards, medieval and primitive. The land down under can never tolerate sex-segregated mosques, dowries, honor killings, acid attacks, Islamic morality police, women wearing the full burkha, polygamy, and sexual harassment of women. The Australian Jewish community needs our support right now as it is not getting the backing of Australia’s weak Labour government under empty suit Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. PM Albanese is no John Curtin or Alfred Deakin. He is more akin to Keir Starmer in the UK. Like Keir Starmer’s long lost Australian cousin he never knew about. I’m praying for Mr. Albanese’s defeat in the next election and that Australia will find its own version of Donald Trump or Javier Milei to protect the Australian Jewish community and make Australia Great Again! 🇦🇺🎆 Not that it isn’t already great, but it could be even more so! These two Arab Josef Mengeles have as of a couple days ago officially been fired and are now in police custody. They should never have boasted so openly on Instagram or come to Australia thinking they could just do or say whatever they wanted. Australians detest antisemitism just as they do any other form of hate. They won’t put up with your bigotry or your homicidal tendencies. Don’t mistake the welcoming nature of Australians for weakness or softness. By the way, Australia Day is a wonderful day everyone should celebrate nor is it stolen land. Give that load of malarkey a rest already!
