I have always wondered why a mother would allow her husband to place her children in danger by using their home to store weapons or facilitate a tunnel etc. I guess I was thinking from a western angle of a mother being free to have that kind of conversation with her partner. The silence from women in the western world who have no regard for their oppressed sisters is deafening and perplexing. The narrowing of honest reporting from the world’s journalists is terrifyingly omnipresent and will ultimately lead to democracy’s downfall if it hasn’t already. Looking at the map you see this tiny sliver of land, Israel, the only democracy in a vast fully surrounded area of deathly oppression and misogynistic rule. We must remember that there are people in those lands who want freedom from their rulers.

It is easy to demand tolerance, equality and all that... Its much harder to GIVE IT OUT to others, especially people who you may not even care about or like. And this is exactly where the problem is.

Western civilization and the concepts of human rights that grew from enlightenment is built upon reciprocity. The people making these demands don't seem to be capable of reciprocating the tolerance they demand to others. I'm a person of pretty good will but over the course of my life haven't seen one country in the ME or N Africa really reform itself and become a real democracy that respects human rights. That is one of the reasons I lean toward Israel in this conflict despite not having any personal stake in the issue.

The country that impresses me most is Sth Korea which started out as poor and authoritarian as the North. They are a first world nation with democracy, human rights & a high standard of living. Advancement is clearly possible if you simply do the work necessary. Its harder to do than just shouting "colonialism" and expecting to be lavished with everything you want.

No one actually wants to help the Palestinians in Gaza, least of all those who chant against Israel.

The western media is absolutely corrupt. I am trying to figure out a rationale for their ignoring this reality. Is it their Antisemitism? Is it the influence of Arab or Iranian money--doesn't seem likely? Is it pressure from Our first Muslim homosexual president and his Iranian advisor Val Jarrett? I would appreciate any thoughts that you might have.

Thank you Lothar. I think it points out the world hypocrisy that Gaza is now flavour of the month. But when the people risked their lives to fight against their oppressors nobody took any notice. Interestingly they were protesting “occupation” they were protesting against Hamas.

Good article! Next one should be an expose on Qatar. A two faced improvised state that funds terrorism.

What would help is knowing as much as possible about the complex situation and the act of consulting man sources. Maybe like this
