Imagine being an Australian, living on the stolen lands of indigenous people, and marching up and down the streets, protesting against Israel.
These morons are protesting that the ancient natives of Israel have gone back home. Imagine taking the side of brutal savages (also named Palestinians), who began life as Arab colonisers.
I’m Australian but not for much longer if it stays like this.
You can’t legislate morality. The Palestinians are a hate group. They have a grievance that they use for public support - land was lost in a series of wars they started or participated in on the losing side, but internally in theirsociety it’s all about hating and killing the Jews, which they are constantly doing. No attempt, and there have been many, to come to a peaceful resolution has ever been successful. Because they will only accept the eradication of Israel and the removal of the Jews from the region as the only desirable outcome. So they have turned into a terror society. They are the Silicon Valley of terror. That’s their industry. People tend to get tired of being murdered by Islamic Nazis. So they fight back or run away. Israelis aren’t running. Palestinians think Israel is doomed, but the Palestinians have doomed themselves to a life of violence and hatred, misery and failure. The other Arabs don’t want them around. And they don’t focus on anything constructive. Israel is going to continue to fight and win because it has no choice. The Arabs in these territories will have less autonomy two years from now than they’ve had for twenty years. They will be the ones forced to change, leave, or die. They are already getting killed in the thousands. Their leaders are cowards and psychopaths. These are just facts.
As far as Western influencers like the ones you describe, they use conflict to make money, feel morally superior, push luxury ideology, and pose in relative safety while others fight and die. They are abhorrent opportunistic phonies. If you don’t know right from wrong, which seems to be an increasing challenge for many people in the postmodern anything goes West, you can get sucked in to stupid positions.
Life is a struggle. Always has been. Wishing it away unfortunately won’t make it change. Islam is a supremacist ideology predicated on conflict. It is a religion of war against the nonbeliever. Always has been. Pretending it’s ok and it’s just as entitled to equal consideration as any other idea is suicide. No, not all Muslims are homicidal maniacs, but enough are that it’s a constant problem around the world. It’s in the news everywhere and has been for decades. The best policy is being an adult and dealing with reality as it comes at you. Everything else will result in even greater suffering. Yes, it’s sad and yes love is preferable to hate. But to fix the current problem, more people will die. Because that’s what they want. Only the Muslims can stop what they have started without more bloodshed and they won’t. 🇺🇸🇮🇱
Palestinians overwhelmingly still support Hamas in polls. They elected them in 2005 after Israel unilaterally withdrew. Everyday Palestinian citizens participated in the atrocities on October 7th and held hostages in their home. Let’s stop pretending there is not broad support amongst Palestinians for radical Islamic terrorism. It is a lie.
Support for Hamas has increased since Oct 7. So there are two possible reasons for this, either they are terrorist supporters and complicit, or they are inexcusably stupid.
You’re drawing a false equivalence between Israel and Hamas in your editorial. I have great empathy for the plight of Palestinians, but this is a problem of their own making. You can keep trying to wish away the reality with platitudes, or you can accept reality and talk about real solutions. You won’t change human nature and history has shown us they won’t accept any reasonable two state solution.
I agree with you. If you read more of my writing it’s pretty clear where I stand. But sometimes I feel to get across to more people I need to come at it with more balance. Which I tried to do. But thank you for reading and for your comments 🙏🏻
I understand the urge as a fellow writer on these topics. We just cannot sacrifice the truth and critical thinking to try to bring people into our tent. Our enemies view any attempt at appeasement as inching toward victory which only perpetuates the violence. Keep writing and I’ll keep reading. We need to be able to have these types of tough conversations amongst ourselves is more important to me than believing we’ll change anyone’s mind on the other side.
Hate is not a thing that can be controlled or stopped through policy. It is a response to policies that promise to deliver things that can only be delivered through the organic interactions among people. Sometimes those interactions are messy. Cleaning up messy requires work and work never ends.
……but ideologues always promise results without work and therein lies the birth of tyranny.
Thank you for writing this. You mention that peace requires empathy and understanding rather than argument about rights and wrongs, and this is also one of the main reasons I disagree with the majority in the recent ICJ advisory opinion about Israel. We have a complex, long-standing conflict that will only be solved by negotiation- legal decisions declaring one side right and the other wrong only harden attitudes and bring more strife rather than encourage understanding or compromise.
I agree with you. The anti Israel bias is evident with these organisations. And the double standard is real. Demonising Israel does nothing to harbour peace. It just creates more division.
Just because they label self-défense; moral outrage, and defiance in the face of evil, hate …. Doesn’t make it hate…. We all need to stop allowing the ‘influencers’ any influence and push back on the MSM messaging… in any way we can.
Of course it’s cowardice… I didn’t mean actually taking the pushback to their sites; more pushing back by refusing to buy in, be cowed, and modding in agreement when their perspective is supported, it’s not easy to do, and I often take a powder for any number of reasons, but that’s what it takes…
Yes. Thats exactly the reason why I speak out. Despite the sad fact that I’m the only one of my “friends” saying what I’m saying. It’s important to not be silenced. Keep up the good fight. 🤍
As long as politicians, public figures and the media continue with divisive rhetoric and injecting fear into their dialogue, the senseless hate will continue. If we shouted them down, then turned our backs on them and ignored them, they would become as irrelevant as they should be.
Men are a lot bigger and stronger than women, so when a woman hits a man, it is very different from when a man hits a woman; a man can literally murder a woman with his bare hands. When I was a home health aide I was often hit by my elderly patients. I did NOT consider that "abuse" because I was much stronger than they were. Had I hit them back, THAT would I have been abuse, and I would deserve to be prosecuted for it.
I feel the same way about men hitting women.
Yes, men are physically MUCH stronger than women, and that means we must take men's violence against women much more seriously than the reverse.
Men are far more likely to kill women than women are to kill men.
Just finished reading the latest over at Council Estate Media, and whilst I may not agree with the extreme tilting of their perspective, they do make some good points… points that anyone arguing pro-Israel cannot ignore…
Israel has scored so many self-goals and undermined its own cause and standing in the western world in the last 10 months; the latest being the police not acting and being passive bystanders when radical settlers moved in to mow down a whole Palestinian village near Qalqilya. How is this not supposed to enrage and fuel the hate flames of Palestinians and their supporters in the West? It IS beyond despicable that Israel allowed this to happen and the settlers are NOT being prosecuted.
And anyone with an already narrow lens on Israel as secret Zionist dominator will ONLY choose to see this as a confirmation for their belief , evidence that “Israel was created in sin, and continues to live in sin” (quote by Jonathan Cook, recent Substack). The short fuse conclusion of that statement is the world would be better off if Israel was destroyed…
It’s not just the hate that’s the problem. It’s the extremely narrow binary lens through which most choose to see the conflict and by default use of the confirmation bias hammer; there’s no room for complexity, nuances and for THIS AND THAT, rather than just this OR that. Criticism should be a 360 degree job, not just 180, and so should be compassion. People who write about Israel but can’t criticize Israel are equally problematic to people writing about Palestinians and not bringing themselves to criticize the PAL side, ever - no.matter.what.
Btw.. I am amazed no one has suggested arming the Australian Aboriginals yet and offered them to help shoot their path to freedom and back to Dreamtime - “before the white man”! Would Caitlin Johnstone and Clementine Ford offer themselves up as adequate sacrifices on the path to freedom for the First Nations? After all, which leg do they have to stand on in Australia, the prison COLONY of the Great British Empire. The only country that has COLONY de facto in all its historic records but no one would ever dare delegitimize Australia as a country.

@Tanto your summary of the situation is so accurate and so perceptive.
Excellent comment. Very important points.
Thank you ☺️

I agree with you. However the 3 ‘influencers’ I mentioned blocked me when I tried to push back. I see this as cowardice.

Just a couple of points.
All the things you mentioned about the problems that Islam has created, 100%.
Regarding feminism, men were expected to provide for the family, men were expected to go and fight in wars while women and children stayed home safe.
Regarding domestic abuse, the whole "men are abusers and women victims of men's abuse" is not borne out of any unbiased study of domestic abuse.
Just about every single unbiased study on DV has shown almost equal amounts of domestic abuse from women to men as the other way around.
You can see how abusive women can be in non-heterosexual relationships where 50% suffer abuse.
Men are far more likely to kill women than women are to kill men.
Women can drive a man to suicide faster than a man could do the same to a woman.
Women can abuse a man and then if he has the cheek to defend himself they can call the cops.
If we only were talking about physical violence, I’d more or less agree.
However, there is a flaw in your theory, women use ambushes or sneak attacks to abuse their men physically.
There are six different types of Intimate Partner Violence
Physical abuse
Emotional abuse
Psychological
Sexual
Financial abuse
(The one that feminists ignore like truth regarding their hate ideology) Parental alienation
Nice article Kelli.
