The saying goes that truth is the first casualty of war. If it's any comfort, in my opinion most people are so set in their beliefs that no information would make any difference to them anyway.

The disseminators of anti-Israel propaganda and social media bots (Hamas, Iran, China, etc.) were trained in Russian psy-op techniques, the same techniques that have divided the US, the UK and the EU and sent most of its populace to one of two psychotic extremes. We have been conquered by the Axis through Goebbels-style repeating of absurd lies until they become truths. When I was a teenager, I had a vision that society would break down within my lifetime, but I never dreamed it would go this way. Hearts and minds. When we hear the adage, "the pen is mightier than the sword," we assume the pen is telling the truth. And now we're up to our necks in what happens when the deadly pen is only peddling evil.

Kelli, there are three very good reasons that the West has run with the lies peddled by "Hamas Health Ministry" and the Islamist talking points.

First is complicity, it doesn't matter whether this complicity is out of sheer laziness, incompetence or pure hatred for Jews. It is just very convenient.

Second is appeasement of the Islamists that the West has embraced over the last quarter century. These agents have become very vociferous, violent and a useful votebank to various lefty (mostly) governments who would go out of their ways to pander to them, despite what they see as truth. The West seem to be paralyzed in fear and inaction when dealing with these mobs.

Lastly, as the Free Press has shown with meticulous research and painstaking details, the academia in the West has been bought by the Qatari and Chinese. They are simply toying with the West. What better way to do then brainwash the impressable minds of youngsters? They have won the propaganda war because the West has been missing in action on this info war battlefield.

I want to point this out, because I have seen this "untruth" repeated many times. It wasn't a Hamas rocket that fell on the hospital parking lot, it was a Palestinian Islamic Jihad rocket.

Apart from that factual nitpicking, great piece!

We have the same notion as your dear teacher, Miss Murphy. There’s a Jewish saying that gossip is like letting feathers out of a pillow. You can never pull those feathers back again.
