As Golda Meir one said, "there will be peace when the Arabs love their children more than they hate us." So sad that nothing has changed. They still think the Jews are going somewhere else. As Golda also said, "our secret weapon is that we have nowhere else to go."

I agree, she was right. However this is never going to happen. Their purpose in life is to kill the Jews. Israel has tried for years! It’s time for a change!

First the "saturday people" , then the "sunday people" . That is what is being preached. So christians should be concerned. The more ground islamic sympathisers get, the louder and more aggressive they will be.

It is more of a belief system issue than a race issue. Islamists world wide want everyone dead or in servitude that is the goal. The " moderates" wont go against the terrorists. Because their goal is still what is written in their book. And what imams are preaching worldwide.😔

Ah, but that’s exactly the problem—the world as a whole does not want the Palestinians to stop “doing what they’re doing”, because that same world wants the Jews to die every bit as much as the Nazis did. Only now, they euphemistically call them “Zionists”. The end goal is the same and they will keep at it until the last Palestinian dies.

Is this a depressing thought? Absolutely. But, it’s an accurate one, I fear.

It's not "palestine", though. It's ISLAM as a whole. Palestinians happen to be islamic, but every muslim believes in their superiority, and that they should rule the world. The rest of us, serve or convert, or die. Its in their book. And their hadiths. Etc. Global caliphate is the goal, israel, USA, hell, if europe doesnt wise up, they are practicallu subsumed.. 😔

Thanks for the great article Kelli. People born outside Israel after 1948 aren’t “Palestinians”, even if their parents or grandparents, they’re Lebanese or Jordanian or Syrian or Canadian or whatnot. UNRWA claiming that Palestinian refugee status is hereditary, the only refugees in the history of the UN with a specialized body, rather than the UNHCR, is idiotic, and serves to deny Palestinians any hope of a state. It is there to perpetuate religious war on Israel in the name of Islam, with Palestinians as cannon fodder. There is no “right of return” and there are no “six million Palestinians” outside the land of Israel.

At this point and time I don’t think the war can or should be restarted. Most of Gaza lays in ruins. Hundreds of thousands are dead or displaced from their home. Children are starving, orphaned or destitute. Whole families have been slaughtered. In addition thousands of IDF soldiers have been killed in action. Thousands still remained displaced in Israel as well since October 7th. No one would have anything to gain from restarting the war. Israel’s current war strategy didn’t work. You can’t defeat a guerrilla army with conventional means and air warfare hasn’t worked. You can bomb Gaza back to the Stone Age and Hamas will simply come out of hiding and rebuild it all again. But you’re right, Kelli Hamas must be permanently removed from power, UNRWA abolished and Gaza deradicalized and de-Hamasified. In order to ensure Israel’s security and ensure a better future for a Gaza a coalition of Arab nations must govern and occupy Gaza and finish the job Israel started. The Gulf States, Egypt, Jordan, Sudan, and Morocco must join together to wipe out Hamas, restore peace, stability and order to Gaza and remake Gazan society for the better. Gaza should be rebuild with international assistance. UNRWA must be dismantled and the Palestinian people brought under the jurisdiction of the UNHCR. The Arab coalition should also create a buffer zone to protect Israel from any attempted terrorist attacks. They should wage a counter-insurgency campaign against Hamas. Any Gazan refugees who wish to leave Gaza should be resettled in an Arab country, Indonesia or Latin America. I think you’re overall point is definitely correct Kelli that at the end of the day the Palestinians must choose peace and new and better direction for their country and their children. At the end of the day the Palestinian people need to come to understand something crucial. Israel is not and has never been their oppressor or the one responsible for their plight. It is their own leaders and the Arab countries who are and have always been, responsible for their suffering and current situation. Once they realize that Israel is their friend and the only friend they’ve got for that matter, that will be the end of this conflict. At the end of the day, the Palestinians must come to realize the key to Palestinian liberation isn’t boycotts, divestment, armed resistance, or terrorism. It’s peace with Israel and two states living side by side! 🇮🇱❤️🇵🇸

Do a people have to want to be helped in order to help them? Do a people have the right to self-immolation if their god commands it? Is helping a people against their will considered ideological colonization?

Einat Wilf is one of my heroes. She's eminently sensible, well informed & implacably solid in her arguments. She says it will require generations of input from moderate Muslims to challenge the Islamist Palestinian aim to eliminate the Jews & soften their "right of return" ideology.

I think Ms. Wilf has a good point. Re-education of Gazans is a good long term plan. I hope bringing Saudi Arabia into the fold with a peace treaty with Israel might get the ball rolling and allow Sunni Muslims the safety in numbers to resist the fundamentalist Shiite Muslims. There was an unofficial treaty in the early 1920s between Jews and Muslims in the Middle East garnered by the Sunnis that was disrupted by the Shiites. It’s been war ever since.

You're right: until they rid themselves of this 'Palestinianism' and recognise that they are not a particular ethnic group, then this will go on and on and they will continue to suffer ad infinitum, being used as pawns by one Party or another. Do they really want to live like this with such hatred in their hearts? However, if many have been so indoctrinated to believe that to be a Martyr is a noble achievement - better than living - then I can't see an end to all this.

Great stuff as always 👍 If it was only Hamas, Hezbollah etc then it might be possible. But this is now a worldwide issue decades in the making (as we’re now seeing in Oz). Unfortunately I don’t think this ends in Israel until Tehran and Qatar are brought to account. As for the rest of the western world I dread to think…..

They still have not suffered enough. Suffering is the beginning of wisdom. They haven’t reached the point where they desire to end their suffering, thus they still lack wisdom. All they have to do is turn over the remaining both living and dead hostages and the war will end and they can get about rebuilding their lives. But in their lack of wisdom, they refuse to do so. So their suffering shall continue and hopefully increase in order that they may develop wisdom sooner rather than later.
