Western civilisation is facing a critical moment. I have spoken about this before. What I failed to mention though, is we may have passed the point of no return. Everything that I have seen over the past fifteen months indicates a social and moral decline that does not bode well for a healthy civilisation. When the world had a choice between civilisation and barbarism — they chose barbarism.
Over the past few decades, while most of us have been passively living our lives, raising our children and paying our mortgages, some truly concerning trends have started to emerge. Many of us have simply become caught in the current, unaware of the incremental danger that these trends and bad ideas have landed us in.
On October 7 2023, Israel was subjected to a targeted, vicious massacre — while a ceasefire was in place — on their home soil. One of the images that will be forever etched in my mind is the Palestinian man (I can’t tell you if he was Hamas or just a run-of-the-mill Palestinian, because he was dressed in civilian clothing), spitting on the dead distorted body of Shani Louk.
I can’t think of another event, except maybe 9/11, where the line between right and wrong was so profoundly clear. Prior to October 7, I could not imagine a world where fanatical men would parachute into a music festival, hunt down and slaughter festival goers, raping and mutilating as they went, without worldwide condemnation. Unfortunately now I can.
As Melanie Phillips, author of The Builder’s Stone, so articulately understood, “The October 7 attack on Israel presented us with a choice between civilisation and barbarism — a challenge the West has failed.”
The aftermath of that awful day, should have sent shockwaves around the world to anyone who values freedom, equality, life, western values and modern civilisation. But quite the opposite happened.
Not only were innocent hostage posters torn down and defaced with swastikas, but it was done with a rabid fanaticism that seemed unique in the civilised world. Even babies Kfir and Ariel Bibas weren’t spared from their hateful wrath.

There is little doubt that the supporting of barbarism and terrorism has prolonged the war and lengthened the stay — if not caused the death of — many of the hostages.
So the endless calls for ‘ceasefire’ have been realised.
A ceasefire that fails to guarantee freedom for all the hostages. A ceasefire that fails to ensure the hostages will be released alive. A ceasefire that still leaves Hamas (in their newly discovered militant uniforms) in control of Gaza.
Congratulations, you have just left over two million Palestinians under the corrupt, theocratic control of a terrorist organisation! But as long as you feel good.
The ceasefire also gives Hamas the opportunity to regroup and rearm, and thanks to the terms of the deal which included Israel allowing a minimum 600 aid trucks a day into Gaza, Hamas have a renewed revenue stream for future terrorist endeavours.
600 aid trucks a day.
Hamas will be cashed up in no time.
But here is the thing. The universal twisted response to the October 7 pogrom showed us one thing — the extent of the decline of the West. And here is my warning to those that have joined the throngs of minions calling for the eradication of the Jewish State — you want to be very careful what you wish for, because if the trajectory keeps going the way it is, you just may get exactly what you deserve.
You.
Chose.
Barbarism.
How long do you think it will take for the barbarians that you fight for to come knocking at your door? If the Muslim trends in Europe are anything to go by, not long.
But you know that is what you are supporting, right?
The more support you give them, the more powerful they become. What exactly do you think they will do to you once they are given the power and the opportunity? There will be no ticker tape parade in honour of ‘Queers for Palestine’, that I can assure you.
It is estimated that Islam set to become world's largest religion by 2075.1
So one would assume then that you are completely comfortable that our western democracies (that you despise so much) will be replaced by a Muslim theocracy. I can all but guarantee democracy will not be replaced by the fairytale utopia of redistribution of wealth, land back to the indigenous, environmental Shangri-La that you envision.
In fact based on the current state of Muslim majority countries, you are more than likely advocating for a corrupt, totalitarian, violence ridden, religiously dogmatic, poverty ridden two tier society under Sharia Law, where the leaders are billionaires living in penthouses in Qatar, and the rest of society lives in squalor. But bring down capitalism right?
Is that what you want? Because that is what you are going to get.
You have clearly demonstrated that you are willing to fight against your own country, but will you fight for it, once the freedoms that you enjoy begin to be taken away? Or will you still be supporting those who wish to enact Sharia Law in the West?
The lowest percentages of women in the workforce belongs to Qatar, Oman, Jordan, Egypt, Iran, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Algeria.2 The common denominator is of course, that they are all muslim majority countries. That’s something to strive for. Our social security will take a fair hit, we most likely won’t remain a first world country for too long, but at least we will all be oppressed together.
History shows that great civilisations fall more often due to internal decay than external attack. The weakness from within makes them vulnerable to outside forces, which only deliver the final blow. And decay is exactly the word for the West eating itself out like a cancer from within.
The outside forces are mobilising — get ready.
So if you are looking forward to being a minority in your own Country, living under Sharia Law within a corrupt theocracy — keep doing what you are doing, you are on track to get everything that you are fighting for.
I hope it’s worth it.

Very well written Kelli, we can all see this coming down the road like a freight train yet our leaders are so wrapped up and blinded by diversity and inclusion to even acknowledge it and as you quite rightly say, it soon will be too late. I still can’t get my head around the global reaction to Oct 7th, Israel was under attack from day one and that definitely doesn’t bode well for western civilisation on the whole, barbarism is fully in control.
Thankfully I won’t be alive in 2075, but agree that is where the West is headed. I am still shocked by the violence of 7/10 along with the response of the western nations. I take for granted that there are racists out there who would kill me in a heartbeat if they could get away with it, just because I am a Jew. I had assumed those people were few and far between but I can no longer hold on to that thought, because the hate marches, social media and MSM clearly indicate that’s not the case.
The fact that these useful idiots to the Hamas / Islamic extremism cause cannot read the writing on the wall seems unbelievable to me. Again that’s obviously where I have become delusional. I am no fan of Trump but I am hoping that his return to the presidency will signal a return to what we used to consider as normal. I’m almost envious of the Americans having him in place, because the U.K. where I live is completely captured including our government and our institutions. I’m glad I’m old but I worry desperately for my children and grandchildren. Thank you for writing this piece. It needs to be seen by all in the west.
