Are you kidding me?
When is a hostage not a hostage? When they are Jewish of course.
I like to believe the best of people. It’s in my nature, and one’s nature is often hard to change. But my good nature is being sorely tested — by idiots.
Fifteen months ago, four young Israeli women who were aged between 19 and 21 , were brutally abducted at gun point. You would have to have been living under a rock not have seen the disturbing images of the girls, dragged by their hair, barefoot, covered in blood, with shocking blood stains on their crotch, forced into a dust covered SUV. Abducted by men who proudly videoed the abduction for the world to see.
Abducted by Islamist terrorists who hate Jewish women and consider them nothing more than sex slaves. In the video released we see the girls terrified, while a group of grown men leer at them, call them beautiful, and talk about how the girls can get pregnant.1
In what Universe, under what circumstances, can anyone with an ounce of humanity, who saw what the rest of the world saw — the unbridled savagery and misogyny of Palestinian men, brutally abducting girls barely out of their teens — claim that Hamas treated their hostages well and with dignity.
I read a Substack by George Hazim, a journalist and Executive Producer and Chief Writer at The Informer that could only be described as outrageous. Here are some excerpts from the article:
“The care the hostages have received starkly contrasts with the treatment of thousands of Palestinians detained in Israeli prisons.”2
What the hell is wrong with you George? These women aren’t prisoners, they are HOSTAGES, taken from their beds in their pyjamas?
Yahya Sinwar received life saving brain surgery whilst in an Israeli prison you absolute Nong, and while imprisoned in Hadarim, he was able to pursue academic studies through the Open University where he learnt the history of Israel, Zionism, and the Holocaust.3 By studying the Nazi regime, Sinwar learnt how to employ propaganda to brainwash fools like you into believing that genocidal terrorists are freedom fighters.
“The hostage exchange forces the world to reconsider who the real ‘savages’ are in this conflict. While Israel has sought to portray itself as a bastion of democracy and civilisation, its actions tell a different story.”4
Are you a complete moron George? Out of 250 hostages, it is estimated that less than fifty of them are left alive. The rest are dead George. Is that what you describe as adequate treatment? And lets not forget the 1200 Israelis slain that kicked off this conflict, most of whom were CIVILIANS, 36 of whom were CHILDREN.
The terrorist PRISONERS in Israeli prisons are being released ALIVE.
And yes George, Israel is a civilised democracy. As a ‘journalist’ you should know that Israel is in fact the only democracy in the region, surrounded by corrupt, Islamic, theocracies, riddled with jihadists and terrorist groups.
“Meanwhile, Hamas, despite being labelled as a terrorist organisation, demonstrated during this hostage release that it is capable of upholding agreements and treating its captives with dignity.”5
I spat out my morning coffee at this one. Are you on drugs? Is this article a cry for help? Talk to me about the dignity that Hersh Goldberg-Polin, 23, Eden Yerushalmi, 24, Ori Danino, 25, Alex Lobanov, 32, Carmel Gat 40, and Almog Sarusi, 27 were treated with George? Living in putrid tunnels, breathing in stale, damp air, pissing in bottles, barely able to stand, or lay down, starved and filthy, and then, when they were on the verge of being rescued, executed — at close range. Have a look at their photos George — they were murdered. Executed in cold blood in a war they didn’t start, on a day that was still under a Ceasefire. A Ceasefire agreement that Hamas broke. Just like the terms of the current ceasefire that they have continued to break.6
“The narrative that Palestinians are the aggressors, incapable of peace or humanity, must be discarded.”7
George, the Palestinians were the aggressors. October 7 was perpetrated during a CEASEFIRE. Give me one single shred of proof that the Palestinians are capable of living in peace with Israel? Prior to October 7, Israel had allowed thousands of Palestinians into Israel every single day, for better pay and working conditions than they could receive in Gaza. In return Palestinian workers gathered intelligence from inside Israel for Hamas’ planned massacre. The Palestinians have said over and over again they will not accept a two state solution. You should believe them George.
And unfortunately George is not alone in his twisted thinking around the Israeli victims of October 7. Interesting though that nobody said the girls who escaped from Boko Haram8 were treated well, when forced to marry and bear their captors children. Nobody expressed their ‘gratitude’ to Isis, when they enslaved the Yazidi women as sex slaves, then fed and clothed them9. It appears that only Jewish women can be forcefully taken by Islamic terrorists, held for over a year, and the kidnappers are portrayed as the good guys.
Hamas made the most pathetic attempt to try and convince the world that the hostages had been enjoying an expense free vacation in Gaza. And all it took was a cheap brown paper goody bag and a cheaply made, ill fitting green uniform to cancel out hours of footage of a murderous rampage.
Like taking candy from a baby really.
However it is unlikely that anyone with more than a few brain cells actually bought that rouse, and far more likely that those who are running with the ‘they were treated well narrative,’ believe so in fact, because they don’t see Jewish women as being deserving of basic human rights.
Because the truth is, even if the hostages were not raped and beaten, even if they were housed with the kindest of families — they still had their most precious commodity taken away — their freedom.
And based on the testimonies we have heard so far, if the four girls that were released last week were not abused, then they would certainly be the minority.
Illana Gritzewsky who was released from her abductors after 55 days, during an earlier ceasefire agreement, reported that Hamas broke her pelvis, burned her leg and dislocated her jaw, and she has been deaf on her left side ever since. In her own words Illana stated;
“I want you to understand what it means to be a hostage. I’m back but only my body is back. My soul is left there, in a place where time has frozen and life has collapsed”
Illana’s partner Matan Zangauker is still being held hostage in Gaza.
So please, enough with the ludicrous bullshit that a hostage is not a hostage if they are Jewish. We see your hate and hypocrisy, your dehumanisation and your complete disregard for the torture that the hostages and their families have endured. Your lack of humanity and inability to see right from wrong says more about you than it ever could about the people of Israel.
Bring them ALL home.

I'm so tired of these Hamas mouth pieces who are given a platform. Thank you for honoring these women by repeating their stories. I pray they will be able to heal. 🙏🏼
Brain dead morons like George are tools. You have a better chance of training a monkey to fly a helicopter than of convincing George with reason, logic, and facts. Getting into any sort of back and forth with these fools is akin to getting into a braying contest with a jackass. But methinks you aren't directing your message to George so much as using his imbecilic bias as a rhetorical method to direct your well reasoned post to those of us with emotional and rational intelligence.
