I went to a wedding the other day. It was a beautifully curated wedding held on a large, rural, ‘Hamptons’ inspired property in a beachside location in Victoria. There were around 200 attendees, all impeccably dressed and groomed.
As I listened to the speeches, which mentioned beach houses on the Mornington Peninsula, gap years in the Canadian Alps, and holidays abroad, I couldn’t help comparing this life with the reality that I live in. It was over an hour drive to the location, and I was worried that I was going over my petrol budget for the week.
