I remember being quite young when hijabs or veilings came into the sphere of my world. I can’t remember exactly what age, but I had travelled through much of Europe and Indonesia at this stage, so I wasn’t naive to other cultures. What I do remember is feeling that they were sexist. Why did the women have the cover themselves but not the men?
