Israeli's you are bad-ass!
It's time we stopped trying to reason with domestic and Islamic terrorists.
I’m beginning to understand the play book now. I must admit it took me a while. I couldn’t quite grasp that the hypocrisy and the double-standards that applied singularly to Israel and Zio’s wasn’t unintended. I mistakenly believed that if only people had access to the truth, to the facts, that they would see with clarity that their justifications made no sense. I was sure that reason would prevail. But I was wrong.
I see now, what the Jewish community have known forever — that there are those among us who hate Jews so much, that no amount of violence, injustice or slaughter, or evidence for that matter, will ever convince people to muster up a shred of sympathy for Israelis. Not even dead innocent Jews are deemed worthy of solidarity and empathy in many peoples opinions.
But guess what, Israelis don’t need your sympathy anymore. Do you know what the past thirteen months have taught me? Israelis are total bad-asses, and I think it’s about time we stopped trying to reason with domestic and Islamic terrorists and start celebrating the momentous achievements that Israel has managed through one of the darkest periods of their history.
Many of you may not know this, but the political landscape of Israel in 2023 before the October attack was tumultuous. Weekly protests took place against proposed reforms by the Netanyahu government. The popularity of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was at an all time low over judicial reform that his hard-right coalition had championed. However when the surprise blitz occurred on October 7, the people united.
Within days 360,000 Israelis responded to the call. The country had gone through a near death experience. And there is nothing as powerful as an existential threat to your existence to bring people together. Added to that a whopping 80 per cent of Israelis left their homes to volunteer in some way. They didn’t do it for Netanyahu, they did it for each other. Jews made it clear they will no longer stand in line waiting to be slaughtered hoping someone will come to their rescue. They fought back.

While students from the most elite academic institutions on the planet dyed their hair blue, demanded lates, tried to work out which river and which sea they were chanting about and camped out on college lawns, the youth of Israel mobilised and fought for their country. Fought for their right to exist. Parents of Israel you should be proud.
Any other teeny tiny sliver of a country that was up against a brutal Islamic regime on every single border would have been championed from the sidelines by every man, woman and child. But not Israel. Essentially they have been on their own. In addition to daily attacks on multiple fronts from crazed jihadists, Israel has also had to shoulder international condemnation, ridiculous United Nations allegations, munitions embargoes and goods and services boycotts.
Israel have so far neutralised every attempt at annihilation with dignity and force. You have decimated Hamas, humiliated Hezbollah, and silenced Iran. The IDF have put the US Army’s ‘War on terror’ to shame. The urban warfare Gaza counter-offensive has achieved what experts said was impossible. They have effectively wiped out thousands of Hamas militants, munitions stores and tunnels, as well as killing the architect of the October attack, Yahya Sinwar. The IDFs precision has meant that the civilian casualty ratio is remarkably low — an estimated 1:1, compared to 1:9 by the Americans in Afghanistan. History will tell a very different story that the one that is being peddled at the moment by the extremist left.
The pager attack was one of the most brilliantly executed and accurately targeted retaliatory attacks witnessed since the Trojan Horse in Troy. The genius of pin-pointing the pagers was, if you weren’t a member of Hezbollah (a particularly brutal branch of the Islamist terrorist family tree), you were effectively unharmed. And as tragic as it was that a few innocent people were injured or killed — the common good and the future for the people of Lebanon, Syria and Israel with Hezbollah cut off at the knees, will create a path for hope and a peaceful future, one that was impossible under the militant control of Hezbollah.
As long as Hamas continue to hold Israelis hostage, the war will continue — as it should. Hamas have had ample opportunity to protect their citizens and end the war, they have refused every one. And Israel to their credit, have achieved more in just over twelve months by way of disabling the Islamic threat than the United Nations, the CIA, MI6, ASIO, James Bond, Jack Ryan or Rambo have managed in decades.
But its not just their military and technological abilities that has been impressive. In the face of unprecedented antisemitic attacks worldwide, as well as the universal desecration of the word Zionist, Israelis and Jews have held tight to their principles. While the ‘free Palestine’ gang call ‘Death to America’ and ‘Death to Zionists’, Jewish protestors sing songs and hold pictures of the hostages, and the IDF vaccinated the children of Gaza from polio. Ironically, I am yet to hear one Jew call for the destruction of Gaza.
The abhorrent hunting of Jews that took place in Amsterdam is just the latest example of the moving of the line of acceptability — Jews are the only minority that are crucified when they start to fight back. I have seen enough gaslighting over the past year to fan the flames of hell for eternity. Enough is enough. It’s time to fight.
Israel, you have every right to fight for your lives. Every right to fight for the beautiful country you have created, that embodies freedom, tolerance, equality and life. While those around you squandered billions of dollars on weapons, tunnels and penthouses in Qatar, with the sole purpose to wipe you out, you have created a thriving, vibrant society that has contributed so much good to the world. You have shown your might along with your grace. Your people are strong, resilient and brave. You don’t need anyones approval, you know who you are. And so do I.
Am Yisrael Chai.
Beautiful sentiment. Thank you
I remember a family dinner conversation when I was a kid in the 1970s. Israel had won several wars, ensured Munich, and executed the incredible Raid on Entebbe. The TV miniseries “The Holocaust” had aired and I learned powerful lessons about WW2. My dad made a comment that the Israelis are unbeatable. He specifically said “Israel has an incredible backbone.” Meaning, Israel will always fight. I was in grade school and his comments left me with a lasting impression. Israelis are indeed badass.
