Just when you think the circus of insanity couldn’t get any worse, Hamas frame the return of hostage Edan Alexander as a ‘goodwill’ gesture.
A good will gesture?
No you psychopathic monsters, it’s not a goodwill gesture to return a young man that you ripped from his life over nineteen months ago, that you have held captive, tied up, deprived of food, deprived of family, deprived of freedom.
A goodwill gesture is a voluntary act of kindness, generosity, or courtesy intended to show goodwill, sincerity, or a desire to maintain or improve a relationship.
You don’t keep someone trapped in a dark damp tunnel, locked inside a cage, chained, starved, suffering, then call it a goodwill gesture when you release them back to where they belong.
Even using the term goodwill in the same paragraph as you sick sadistic demons is a travesty of everything that is good and right.
Edan Alexander was a US citizen, yet it still took over 19 months to garner his release. We are yet to understand the details of what was offered to Hamas in return for his release, but there is always a price.
584 fucking days. Can you imagine?
I thank God that Edan has been returned. But let’s not pretend that this is happily ever after. Edan, along with all all the hostages that haven’t already been killed in captivity by Hamas, will suffer a lifetime of medical and psychological trauma.
Edan I am so sorry for what you have endured. I am so sorry that you have been used as a political pawn by a genocidal twisted evil group of people. I am sorry that it took so long to bring you home. I’m sorry you had to witness and experience what no human should experience.
I wish you love, and healing, and health.
Well said! This IS insanity and how warped that media use “goodwill gesture” at all!
And you are almost certainly right—there will be a price for this; we just don’t know what it is yet.
